Sunny Music Just in Time

Wow 4th of July weekend really snuck up on me this year. Perhaps its because Boston has been enveloped in a miasma of clouds and rain for the past two plus weeks with more in store. Global warming? I will be spending the long weekend basking on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and hopefully the sun will quit being a bitch and show up for a bit.

Either way, here are a couple of tracks from Bibio who has evolved from his folktronic roots into something greater. His new album Ambivalence Avenue is a lush, meoldic, funky and diverse electronic trip through a lo-fi summer landscape. While tracks range from funk to breakbeat, these couple really highlight the carefree summer anthems on the album (with handclaps!). The whole album really is a perfect listen as you travel to your fourth of July destination. You have fun, we'll keep posting.
