In that vein, here are three remixes that should inspire you to have a helluva day, no matter what your stylistic preferences. It’s like a Choose Your Own Adventure Book, except you only have three choices, all of them rock, and you don’t die at the end (but it’s ok because you always kept your finger on the previous page just in case).
IF YOU PREFER ELECTRO, please proceed to the Mark Lam remix of Dizzee Rascal and Armand Van Helden’s “Bonkers”. The grungy industrial bass beats will get your blood pumping, the sudden drops will turn your stomach upside down, and Dizzee Rascal will inspire you to get out of bed and VACUUM THAT LIVING ROOM!
IF YOU PREFER RAP, please proceed to the MF Doom remix of Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, and GZA’s “Street Corners”. It’s smoother than the Dizzee track, and Doom – as you might expect – really throws the lyrics to the front of this mix. The flows and rhymes will inspire you to stay in bed and WRITE THOSE EMAILS YOU’VE BEEN PUTTING OFF!
IF YOU PREFER AWESOME, please proceed to The Knocks’ remix of The Jackson 5’s “The Love You Save”. If you don’t like the Jackson 5, I don’t like you. This remix is straight baller – as all Knocks remixes are – and injects pizzazz into a song that already has pizzazz until it’s overflowing with pizzazz. This tune will inspire you to get out of bed and BUY SOME AWESOME CLOTHES AND HAVE A DANCE PARTY AND GET FAMOUS AND THEN HAVE ANOTHER DANCE PARTY!
