Unless Ultimate Frisbee, Thrift Store Shopping, or Indie Elitism become Olympic sports, it's unlikely that any of the TSRE heads will find themselves in the worldwide games. That being said, it's hard not to get psyched about Beige-ing 2k8. The Olympics are politically relevant again, Russia is invading Rem Shady's hometown, and Leon Phelps is winning medals left and right! How exciting!
The Dream Team is winning again, Amurrica has established swimming dominance, and Jon Simpson's orthodontist's daughter held on for a gynastics Silver medal (behind a 14 year old Chinese girl). Rock on, United States of the Americas.
So, as Le Truth and I have been watching night after night with Dedicated Fan X, I've been getting pretty psyched about some Olympic music. I'll keep the list short - just two tracks tonight. One is an awesome remix of the Olympic Theme by DJ Soap. The other, in honor of Charlie Stoebe making decisions for NBC, is Nelly's "Heart of a Champion" to the beat of Roundball Rock a.k.a. NBA on NBC a.k.a. that song that goes dun nu nu nu nu NA na naaaaa ni ni ni ni na nu na nu nu na na na NA NA. Baller.
Enjoy. Go Amurrica.
