Hopefully most of you have heard of, or better yet listened to, some of the recordings by Beck's Record Club. Number 1 - they feature some very talented and diverse collections of artists jamming together; number 2 - Beck has chosen some very interesting albums to cover, including one by Yanni and another by INXS; number 3 - the videos are interesting to watch, seeing all the musicians interact in the studio. INXS seems to be pretty sleazy. On this cover of perhaps their most recognizable song (and guilty pleasure song), "Need you Tonight," Beck and company maintain that smooth vibe and the trademark riff, but turn the tables on INXS with St. Vincent's lovely yet sultry vocals and some tight percussion.
