Last week I had never heard of Wise Blood and now I love him. His tracks are thick and borrow from many different sources. There is this pervading sense of release that stays constant throughout his EP '+' that makes it deserving of multiple listens. The five short tracks are certainly fuzzy and home made, but they showcase some ragged percussion and infectious obscure samples. Who would have thought that a dude from Pittsburgh would be able to construct such crazy tracks fusing traces of soul with some drone-y, fuzzy stuff and that it would really work?
