Chris and I have a longstanding infatuation with Passion Pit; so guess how excited we were to discover the new single off Passion Pit's upcoming full length Manners. Very excited indeed. The track is entitled The Reeling and is pretty much the party that you would expect from Passion Pit. While not groundbreaking, the track is replete with sweet 80s synth deliciousness and Michael Angelakos' stratospheric vocals.

That guy's voice is insane, how does he get it so high and then keep it that way? It confuses me because if you actually listen to him talk it isn't anything like the music, anyways...
Have you seen them live? They are on Josh Schwartz's new web- series Rockville CA (http://www.rockvilleca.com/) right now Passion Pit has two performances up and an interview.
We here at TSRE try to catch Passion Pit every time they are in the Boston area - twice at Great Scot, once at the Middle East, and once up at our alma mater Dartmouth College. Looking forward to seeing them again at the Paradise in June!

Passion Pit's killin' it! The Calvin Harris remix is a pretty sweet take on it as well. That funky slap-bass is growing on me.
